Extend v renovate
When you extend your home, you add additional walls and ceilings. A renovation involves altering the existing structure.
Woodford Homes will undertake renovations as part of your extension. We do not take on renovation only projects.
What does this mean? We will renovate other parts of your home to better integrate your extension and bring adjoining parts of the house up to date. These renovations will be included as part of your extension design.
Why DIY isn’t always the way to go
DIY projects can be rewarding and can save you money.
However, a home extension is a very serious DIY project! To do the job properly you need expertise in design, project management and construction.
This means you’ll have to source tradespeople you can trust, liaise with suppliers, make sure you have the materials you need and that they arrive on time, keep you and your property safe and, of course, deal with your local council.
