Allen Smith
Client Services Manager
Allen Smith is the Client Services Manager and co-owner of Woodford Homes. He has been part of the building industry for close to 40 years and remains passionate about his work.
Named apprentice of the year at the start of his career, Allen went on to work with commercial steel frame specialists NuSteel for many years.
When NuSteel closed down, Allen decided to move into home building. After just 3 months of saving (and with 3 young children on board) he and his wife Lyn formed Woodford Homes in 1998.
Since then, the Blue Mountains based business has built a solid reputation for quality new homes, extensions and renovations.
Like all the team at Woodford Homes, he continually updates his skills and credentials.
Allen’s expertise is recognised by the Housing Industry of Australia and he happily shares his knowledge through community expos and other events. He is also an active member of Springwood Rotary Club.
Allen’s friendly, collaborative approach and excellent standards in craftsmanship and safety are evident in Woodford Homes’ quality work and trusted name.
Lyn Smith
Company/Administration Manager
As Company/Administration Manager and co-owner of Woodford Homes, Lyn not only manages the business on a day-to-day basis, she keeps a close eye on its strategic direction.
Lyn has held the reins at Woodford Homes since 2000. A lifelong learner, she has combined many years of administrative, accounting and managerial experience with a natural business acumen to help Woodford Homes grow and expand.
While Woodford Homes is, at heart, a small business, Lyn has made sure it is run with the processes and procedures of a successful multi-national company.
Lyn’s professionalism is reflected in every aspect of Woodford Homes – from its showroom in Lawson to the building site processes and project outcomes that set them apart.
Away from work, Lyn is an active member of her community, volunteering with the Blue Mountains Food Co-op and other community organisations and speaking at local business networking events.
