Client Services Manager and Co-Owner of Woodford Homes
Allen has been involved in the building industry for almost four decades, and he retains the same passion for his work as he had back when he was named Apprentice of the Year at the start of his career. He initially worked with NuSteel Homes, a residential steel frame specialist, for many years until they closed. Allen, and along with his wife Lyn formed Woodford Homes in 1998 with just three months of savings and three young children.
Since 1998, Woodford Homes has built a solid reputation for quality extensions, new homes and renovations. Allen’s expertise is widely recognised by the Housing Industry of Australia, and he happily shares this information with the local community while continually updating his credentials and skills. Allen’s professional, friendly and collaborative approach, combined with excellent craftsmanship standards and a high regard for safety, are evident in Woodford Homes’ trusted name, solid reputation and quality work.
Company Manager and Co-Owner of Woodford Homes
Lyn has held the reins at Woodford Homes since 2000, and she not only manages the day-to-day business, but she keeps a close eye on its strategic direction. Lyn has managed to run Woodford Homes with the processes and procedures that successful multinational companies adhere to despite the fact that Woodford Homes is, at heart, a small business. As a lifelong learner, she has helped Woodford Homes grow and expand in leaps and bounds by combining her years of accounting, administrative and managerial experience with natural business acumen.
You can find Lyn’s professionalism reflected in every aspect of Woodford Homes from the showroom in Lawson, down to building site processes and project outcomes and everywhere in between. Lyn is also very active in the community, and she frequently helps other community organisations, and speaks at local business networking events.
Our building supervisor works hard to coordinate not only our trusted subcontractors and clients but our team of carpenters. His job is to keep every project on time and on budget, a principle very important to Woodford Homes.
Leading Hand Carpenter
We have a committed team of four fully qualified, leading hand carpenters. These carpenters are reliable, polite, friendly and take great pride in their work. They are responsible for keeping the site safe and also liaise with our various subcontractors and customers.
We have three enthusiastic full-time apprentices who are in the process of completing their carpentry certificates. Their enthusiasm and work ethic make them great additions to the Woodford Homes team. They are all at varying points in their apprenticeship and we look forward to seeing them develop into qualified carpenters.
